Created in 1973, the University of Aveiro quickly became one of the most dynamic and innovative universities in Portugal. The Graphene Energy Ltd is a company founded in February 2022 in Wroclaw. The main course of activities is commercialization of the solutions related to the use of graphene-based catalysts for the conversion of carbon dioxide to methanol. The company develop production technology of graphene and its derivatives, as well as composites based on these structures.

Lviv Polytechnic traces its roots to a Real School established in 1816 by decree of Austrian Emperor Franz I in Lemberg (present-day Lviv). Though often cited as founded in 1844, it actually evolved from this Real School, becoming the Imperial‑Royal Technical Academy under Austrian rule.
